Dog in the Hat?

I made a Cat in the Hat hat for LT last year for Dr. Suess' birthday (Read Across America Day). I found a costume that he could wear this year!! Am I crazy?

School is back...

It's that time of year again. Time for school to start. I am not quite ready to start, but I discovered that there isn't much I can do about it. So far, I have 24 kids enrolled in my class. We can have up to 33 kids, so this is a very small number. Hopefully we get a few more students so that we don't have to create a K/1 combo class...that would not be fun.
It's back to alarm clocks, business clothes, snot of my knees, paint, vomit, peeing in pants, and crayons. At least I love what I do...the kids are adorable and my ego gets a little boost since they love me! (I am totally being modest!)

Hurricane in Florida?!?!

I am finishing up my relaxing week in Florida with my sister, brother in law, and their new baby. It has been a great trip! Unfortunately, there is a lovely hurricane named Fay that is deciding to hang out with us too! It is supposed to hit this area tomorrow. My flight is scheduled for 6:30am tomorrow, so hopefully my flight stays on schedule and we miss the hurricane. Their house will be fine since they live inland, but the weather will be crazy! Pray for good weather tomorrow morning!!

New Olympic Crush

I love Australia (not as much as the US when we're swimming against them)! Sydney is a fabulous city. I discovered this Aussie swimmer, Eamon Sullivan, and have a new crush! Don't worry Michael Phelps...you are still my boyfriend!

My niece!

Eva Loyo was born on Tuesday, 8/12/08! She was 7 lb 15 oz and 20 in long! I flew out to Florida to see her and she is so precious!

I'm tired, so tired.

I had the oppotunity to stay awake very late last night. Wait...that was not a good thing! I laid in bed for 4 hours after reading for an hour...I could not fall asleep! I got a whopping 3 hours of sleep last night, which is NOT enough sleep for me. I barely made it through my tutoring appointments this morning! I can't imagine being a mother of a newborn...this is what they have to endure every night! Not fun at all!!!
