I'll Have the "Usual"

Why is it that we find something that we like and stick with it. I always tend to get the same things when we go out and rarely "change it up." I always try to find something else to order, but typically end up getting the same old things. For example, Janine and I went to Yard House today for a delicioso lunch date and we searched and searched the beer menu, only to end up ordering the same exact beer that we always order...Janine got Blue Moon and I got Spaten Optimator (see photo). It then came time to order our food. I was crazy and ordered something new (but I always get the chicken enchilada stack), but our buddy Janine ordered her "usual"...a cheeseburger (see photo). I want to be new and interesting, but there are so many wonderful things that I consider my "usuals." We'll see what we order next time!

Note to Self: Don't run into anymore poles.

So here's the story...
In 8th grade (about 13 years ago), I was playing a game at church. I ran in sandals (big no, no!) and went face first into a pole. My bottom teeth went through my chin (you could see them sticking out...so freaking hot!), a bottom tooth fell out, my front two teeth chipped almost all the way off, and I sprained my wrist (which hurt worse than anything else). They stiched up my chin (26 stiches), put my tooth back in, and "painted" my front two teeth back on. They had to do 2 root canals, then do a filling in the root of the tooth that fell out about 6 months after the accident. I had braces twice, a gum graft (sp?), and 2 crowns, then about 3 years ago, the tooth that fell out and was put back in started to hurt. They did xrays and found that the root was dissolving. Yay!!! More dental work!! They pulled that tooth and put in a dental implant. That was the worst ever! It was great until about a year ago, when the tooth next door started wiggling, moving, and was discolored. What a joyous day it was when I discovered that! I went in to a different dentist today and he opened it all up and found that the bone around the implant had dissolved and it killed one tooth and was working on killing another one. This is all because the previous dentist did not place the implant correctly. Darn him! (If anyone is a lawyer, let me know...we might be pursuing some sort of lawsuit.) He had to extract the implant, but the old dentist put in an implant that was longer than most dentists use, so today's dentist didn't have the correct tools to extract it. My appointment was supposed to be an hour and it turned into 3 hours without any success. All I got was a nasty looking mouth, bruised and swollen face, and some good pain medication! I have to go back in 2 weeks to try it again...Yippee!! I decided to take a lovely photo to document this wonderful experience...enjoy my sexy mouth!!!!!

Crocs and other bad trends...

A friend sent this link to me today and I found it quite amusing. He discusses the topic of Crocs, and I completely agree with him. Crocs are one of the nastiest things ever created (sorry if you like them, but honestly, they're not cute). This guy is hilarious...you must follow this link and check out some of the other hilarious posts that he has made!

Pumpkin Ice Cream...Yum!

Whoever created this stuff is the best! (Yes it is backwards, thanks to PhotoBooth on my Mac!) I think that I could open the carton and eat the entire thing!

LT's got The Mange...

My dog is literally the cutest thing in the world, but he's got the mange. I just dipped him in iodine and slathered this greasy crap all over. Yuck!

The dark side...

A little buddy of mine convinced me to jump on the bandwagon and join this blogging community. I'm not a great writer, so this won't be as entertaining to read as other friends' blogs, but I'll give it a shot!
