Silly Casey

We had a relaxing evening last night until Casey was drilling into the metal end of a pool cue and the drill bit snapped. It shot into his hand and there was blood everywhere! The garage looked like someone had just been stabbed. I freaked out because it was so bloody! We went to urgent care and got stitches and he is fine now. What a way to end our relaxing day!

Circus!

"Men, Women, and Children of All Ages!"
I LOVE the circus! Our friends invited us to join them in their company suite at Staples Center for the circus. I love all of the animals and the people who twirl on the fabric and rings...it is so much fun! My favorite parts were the tigers and the elephants. I can't believe that there can be 7 grown tigers in a cage with a human. I personally wouldn't feel so comfortable in there, but that's just me. The elephants were super cute also. It is crazy to think that an animal that weighs that much is able to be trained to stand on top of other elephants or lay down, or stand on its front legs and trunk! The elephants did some funny things that looked totally inappropriate (see photo below)!! I loved it!!!

A baby??

Casey and I went wine tasting today and while we were at Longshadow Ranch, we noticed something strange. There was a baby in a car seat, alone, on a picnic bench. No mom nearby, no dad nearby...no one! That was strange to me. The other strange part is that someone decided to bring their baby wine tasting! Who does that? It's like having a baby in a bar!

Silly Pug Stuff

I was looking at random stuff on Google and found all of these silly pug pictures! I hope someone laughs at them like I did!

Cheap Night at the Landing!

Hannah and I went to Newport Landing for dinner and it was their famous $3.00 night. We got super strong mai tais, calamari, and cheeseburgers for a whopping $16.00! That is unheard of! I love it!

Ha Ha Baby!

I have been having a major baby urge for the last couple of weeks. I think that I might finally be over it...for now.
I found this online today and thought it summed up how I feel about little Caseys and Stephanies coming into the world at the moment. :)

Antonio Cromartie!!!!

Casey and I went down to San Diego today because Antonio Cromartie of the Chargers was signing memorabilia. We got a helmet and a photo of his amazing game against the Colts when he intercepted the ball 3 times, signed by him. Lots of good stuff to add to our Chargers game room!
On a side note, I must say that I think he is a pretty darn good looking man! He's very nice also, but I would prefer to look at him rather than talk to him! ;)

Note to Self: Don't wear Shiny Purple Leggings

I went to Pinkberry on Wednesday and there was a girl there who (in my opinion) was committing a major fashion no-no. She was wearing shiny purple leggings and a beret. I immediately knew that she must have purchased her fashion faux pa from American Apparel...known for their comfy simple tees and out of control random stuff they loop into the category of clothing.
I hope this girl doesn't ever find my blog...if she does, then I hope she realizes how lame she looked that day and never wears that crap again. :)

(Sorry for the sideways picture. I was too lazy to fix it.)

Football Season...Are you here yet?

As many of you know, Casey and I are big Chargers fans. We are patiently awaiting the delivery of our season tickets and can't wait for the season to start!
Lots of things happened last season. Lots of ups and downs for the fans! To begin, the season started off rocky with their new coach, Norv Turner, and a team that looked nothing like the team that finished the 2006 season 14-2. They started getting back into the groove and ended the 2007 season 11-5. The fact that they could play and beat Indy in the divisional playoffs without LT or Rivers proved that they were talented. They were so close to the Super Bowl we could taste it, until they fell to New England.
No matter how the season ended last year, they're coming back with the goal of a Super Bowl title...maybe this is our year!!

Sunday, September 7...Opening Day...Qualcomm Stadium...San Diego...the mayhem will begin! I'll be prepared with blue jello shots, plenty of blue and yellow apparel, and my screaming voice on!

Go Bolts!

RIP Avocado Tree

Our new house has very little landscaping, but it does have a large grapefruit and avocado tree. The avocado tree is annoying because the leaves make a mess. It didn't seem like the tree was producing fruit either. Casey decided to pull it out to leave room for something more attractive. Come to find out, that tree produces hundreds of avocados each year and unlike most avocados trees, it produces year round. Our neighbor was bummed to hear that we are taking it out because he enjoyed snatching the ones that hung in his yard. After cutting it down, we found 2 tiny avocados. Casey put in at least 7 hours getting that thing out of the ground and cleaned up...good job Casey!

Yummy Biscuits

I had a random urge to bake something yesterday. I found a recipe in one of my cookbooks for cheddar chive biscuits. They didn't look like normal biscuits, but they sure tasted good! The best part, Casey loved them!

Ice Skating

One of my brilliant friends suggested that we go ice skating on Thursday. I can't remember the last time I strapped on shoes with knives on the bottom and tried to keep my rear end off of hard, cold ice while skating around in circles. I'm not sure what the fun part of ice skating is, but we had it (fun, that is). We decided to pretend we were brilliant ice skaters and posed for classic photos. Our knees, ankles, and feet hurt when we were finished and I woke up the next morning with my major pains in my hips! Man, we are getting old! We finished off the evening with a nice dinner at The Landing that consisted of $1 tacos and $3 margaritas. It was a super fun evening with Charlie's Devils!
