Natural History Museum

I watched a show about mummies last week and really wanted to see some mummies in person, so I went to the Natural History Museum. Well, unfortunately, the museum in LA no longer has any mummies. I guess I will just have to take a trip out to NYC to see the ones there.

Even though I didn't get to enjoy any ancient dead people, I did thoroughly enjoy myself. My favorite part of the museum has always been the African and American Mammal Halls. I walk in and feel like I am a part of the wilderness! They had a few neat dinosaur bones also. There was a cool presentation about a triceratops. A woman got inside of a puppet that made real sounds and moved really neat! It was fun to act like a kid!

I can't wait until Casey and I have kids so that I can take them to fun places like the Natural History Museum!

Hawaii 2009

I am finally updating my blog since I have neglected it for the last few months!

We took a trip to Hawaii for Christmas and New Year's with Casey's family. It was a wonderful trip! We had a great time as a family and did a bunch of fun activities! One of my favorite parts was having "fun" with my camera. Each trip gets better because I am getting better at shooting! Here are some photos of our trip...

I loved the little geckos. Well, they creeped me out, but they were cute!

Our 3rd Anniversary

We celebrated our 3rd Anniversary at La Vie en Rose. It was a delicious meal with even better company! I was so thrilled with how this anniversary turned out. Let me give you the back story...

The day after our wedding, we were getting ready to go to the airport for our honeymoon and I got sick. Since that didn't turn out as perfect as I had hoped, I put a lot of pressure on myself for our 1st anniversary. I wanted it to be perfect! But it wasn't. I worked myself up and was too nauseous to eat at Melting Pot, so we left. Then comes our 2nd anniversary. We went to Rockin' Baja (my favorite restaurant!) and I was better than the prior year, but I still was not myself. I actually ate something, but my trusty stomach wasn't super happy. This year, I asked God to keep me calm because there is no reason why I should be worked up and sick for just an anniversary! Well, He granted me that desire and I was so happy!!!

The big 2-8 is today!

Today is my 28th birthday. It is crazy to think how quickly the last 28 years have gone. No, let me rephrase that. How quickly the last 15 years have gone. My life has always centered around my pole accident (check out a post a while back about my teeth and hitting the pole). That happened when I was 13 and in 8th grade. High School went by so fast and the last 10 years have flown by! My 10 year reunion was this summer and I forgot where my life went! So much has happened in the last 15 years that has turned me into the person I am today and so much happened in my first 13 years to mold me into who I wanted to become.

Thanks to my parents who always supported me and raised me to be the type of person I am. Thanks to Casey for putting up with my junk for the last 4 years, and thanks to my friends for always being so supportive even in the craziest of times. For some reason, this birthday seems like a big milestone for me and I'm not quite sure why. 28 isn't a milestone birthday, but for me there is something about it. I feel older and more mature, but in a good way. I have been through so much that has made me so thankful for everything that has happened in my life.

So, cheers to 28 years of wonderful life and many more wonderful years to come! :)

LT loves to model for the camera!!

LT decided that he wanted to be a model today. He was so cute and comfy laying on the floor that I couldn't help but take some photos! I know that most of them are similar, but I had fun playing with the camera and couldn't pick my favorites!!

Apparently he thinks that he is a sphinx...

Dogs, Dogs, and More Dogs!

My cousin, Christy, got married this weekend out in Lytle Creek. A bunch of my relatives decided to camp out for the weekend since it was pretty far away. I couldn't resist taking photos of all of the dogs! There were so many of them!
